Romans 8: 38-39

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Realizing that nothing and noone can ever separate us from His love now makes me feel so certain of what the future can bring. There are times wherein we feel so guilty about the sins we’ve committed from the past, thinking about it over and over again and blaming ourselves every single moments of our lives. Well, it’s good to feel guilty and realize our unworthiness sometimes but making it a habit isn’t good after all. That’s not what God intended for us to have. True guilt is God’s way of warning us to repent and turn away from our sins so He can forgive us, cleanse us and make us exactly guilt-free.
Hebrews 10:22 – Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.

Hebrews 4: 16 – Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

God wants us to have a full confidence to Him. He let Himself crucified so that He can freed us from the bondage and slavery of sin. He offered us the gift of salvation so that we can experience the joy of His love, untying us from the burden that we have before. Well, let us be reminded always that nothing and noone can ever separate us from God’s love now. For He accepted us as His children, the sin that we’ve done from the past, the sin that we have in the present and the sin that we’re going to have in the future was already forgiven. We belong to Him.♥

Psalms 37:3 Trust in the LORD and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.
Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding
Isaiah 26:4 Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD, the LORD, is the Rock eternal.

What have you noticed about the 3 bible verses above? As what we can see, it all contains the same statement of what God want us to do, to trust Him. Well, the other question is Do we trust God with all of our hearts? Do we really believe that His promises will never be broken?
There are many bible life stories that proved how God is really worth our trust. God told Abraham that he will be the father of all nations and it all happened (Genesis 12:2). According to the book of Romans (v.4:9-12), Abraham was considered the father of those who believe and children of God. Same is true about God’s promise that He will sent Israel out of slavery and He did what He said He will. Even though the people of Israel was a kind of “pasaway” (because they always disobey God’s commandment), still God is forgiving them over and over again and still they have able to step in to the Promised Land God have prepared for them. Also the same when God foretold the coming of an Immanuel “God with us” also happened. [Therefore the Lord Himself shall give you a sign, Behold, a virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel – Isaiah 7:14]. The greatest promise God have for the people of the world that He will be with us happened.
Those are just some of the occasion happened in the timeline of the bible and there’s so many more to know. God proved to us that everything He said is true, that He is always true to His words.
How often do you/we read and meditate God’s Word which is the bible? What is the importance of reading and meditating His Words? Well, let us consider God’s Word as light and without it is darkness. Imagine walking in a room that is full of darkness, you can’t see what is surrounding you, you might get hurt and harm because you can’t see that things that must be avoided, you might get wander because of lost of direction. Compare it in a room that is full of light, you can see the things that can harm you giving you the chance to avoid it, you’ll never get wander because of the direction that guides you, which is His Word and guidance. God’s Word will guide us to wisely choose the decision that we need to do. We can trust in His Words because we know that He is true to His promises.
Do you know the life story of Samson? We’re all familiar to this. Samson is a strong man, He is the one sent to bring Israel out of slavery from the Philistine (when the time Israel is in trouble again). He was not allowed to eat grapes or raisin, drink wine or any alcohol beverages, touch a dead body and to cut his hair ( based on my research, those are their outward sign of their dedication to God for the Israelites. Sadly, Samson is not that too obedient to follow it all. He even fall in lust (sorry for the term) with Delilah, a philistine woman. Not knowing that Delilah is being paid by the philistine leader to know Samson’s secret of strength, Samson was deceived and told Delilah his secret of strength. After his hair was cut, he became weak and the philistine can already defeat him without effort, and they even blinded his both eyes. But before the end of his life, he repented and was forgiven by God. Even in the deepest of our fall, we can always proclaim God’s forgiveness everytime we repent. [If I confess my sins, God is faithful and just to forgive my sins, and cleanse me from all unrighteousness. – 1 John 1:9]

Points to Remember:

  • God is truth. There is no false in Him
  • God’s Word is truth
  • When we obey His trust, we please God with our lives
  • In every falls, God’s promise of forgiveness will never fail.

Come and make my heart Your home
Come and be everything I am and all I know
Search me through and through ‘Till my heart becomes a home for You

You are my portion, filling up everything
You are the fortune, that’s causing my heart to sing
That it’s amazing…
That You could make Yourself at home with me

A home for You, Lord
A home for You, Lord
Let everything I do open up
A door for You to come through
And that my heart would be a place
Where You want to be…

As I heard this song a mean while ago from a fellowship in our church, I felt uneasy. I can’t imagine the God, a Holy and Almighty God will somehow wanted to be in my heart. If I could compare my heart to a room, I’m gonna illustrate it as a messy, dark and full of dirt room. How can God tolerate a sinful heart?Well, there’s a process called cleansing, but we’ll not the one having the ability to do it but Him, only Him. Even in our dirtiest heart, God can make it as pure as what we can’t imagine, through our repentance and His forgiveness. (Come. Sit down. Let’s argue this out. This is God’s Message:”If your sins are blood-red, they’ll be snow-white.If they’re red like crimson, they’ll be like wool – Isaiah 1:18) Making Him live in our heart means making Him lead our lives. What does it mean making Him lead our lives? the simple way that can make Him lead us is by letting Him search our heart as a whole and letting Him correct its wrong ways. Though knowing that God knows everything(even our deepest thoughts), let’s make Him also search and control everything.

this verse could help:

Search me, O God, and know my heart. Test me and know my anxious thoughts. Psalms 139: 14

-written by Sun

Have you heard the song sang by Jacquimo that inspires Thumbelina to quit whining  and start finding her way back home with nothing more than her heart to guide her? There’s a line there saying “You’re sure to do impossible things if you follow your heart”. Well, I used to believe that when I was a kid,  it’s kinda convincing and realistic.
For God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything.       1 John 3:20 (NIV)
Trusting our own heart is not what God wanted us to do, He wanted us to trust and follow His will. God knows everything, even the things that is best for us, that’s why having faith in Him also includes trusting Him even in the very tough circumstances because He knows us, He knows the thing that we can’t or can bear, He’s always in control, He knows what’s best for us.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all you ways acknowledge him, and he will make your path straight.  Proverbs 3: 5-6 (NIV)

Though we know the difference right from wrong, in some way we still can fail because we’re only human that is capable of falling. That’s why in our every ways, seeking His Will will still be the best thing that we could do and surely we’ll never fail.

Above all else, guard you heart, for it is the wellspring of life.  Proverbs 4:23 (NIV)
In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his step. Proverbs 16:9 (NIV)

Sharing to you this beautiful song. Everyday,we’re living not because of ourselves anymore, everything-every breath is from Him that’s why He truly deserves to own our lives. Though each day we can’t avoid complicated circumstances, there’s nothing to worry about anymore, He’ll be the one who gonna take care of it. HE LOVES YOU, MORE THAN OF WHAT YOU CAN IMAGINE.

Proclaim Your awesome power
Tell of mighty deeds
Declare Your future kingdom
Of everlasting peace

And my eyes they look
Unto You always
And I am captured
By your majesty

All of my days
I will sing of Your greatness
All of my days
I will speak of Your grace
All of my days
I will tell of Your wondrous love
Your love in my life
Your love

All Your works will praise You
Your children bless Your name
We speak of all Your goodness
We walk in fields of grace

And my eyes they look
Unto You always
And I am captured
By your majesty
